The Opera

Hello all,

 Well yesterday we did not write anything because it was a relaxing day.

We went to by tickets for the opera and visited a beautiful cathedral St. Vladimir.

Tonight we went for supper with 2 other families and went to the opera.

Supper was traditional Ukranian dumplings. Delish!!!!

We then went to see Madame Butterfly. It was nice, but a little shabby, but something we would not normally do.

Tomorrow we have plans to go on a boat ride with our new friends. We are all in the same boat.

Waiting for other appointments.

One couple has been here in Kiev for 6 weeks and are waiting for their 3 appointment. That means they still have at least 4 more weeks here in the Ukraine.The other couple have been here 4 weeks and are waiting for their 3rd appointment.

As we said before we will enjoy this "trip"

Well, today was very relaxing. we got up at 10:30 am took our sweet time with breakfast and coffee. Grocery shopping was our next activity........cheap, cheap, cheap but yet again all the labels were in russian so we kinda got what we are used to.Later on in the afternoon the russian speaking cleaning lady came to show us how to use our russian washing machine. you guys should've been here to see Adele trying to communicate with her.......well i had a ball.

We finally got phone numbers of other couples here from Montreal and went out for drinks tonight. Two very nice couples but yet with very rough adoption stories... It's incredible how reality does not even resemble what you are told before you coming here.At the end of the day, i Know all the stress and agravation will be worth a while , but for the time being we have to ride the wave i guess.

Tomorrow morning we will be byuing tickets to the opera for "Madame Butterfly" on Saturday night with our new friends, and we will start visiting some cathedrals.

Iam so excited for our second Honey moon and cannot wait to really start visiting this beautiful city.

and by the way.....I would move here in a heart beat.

Well it is 11pm now and the time has come for us to do our daily skipe round.

So like we say in russian , Do zavtra.
